72-977. Compulsory attendance of exceptionalchildren at school for receipt of services; provision of servicesprivately; nonapplicability to gifted children.(a) Except as otherwise provided in this section, it shall be the duty ofthe parent of eachexceptional child to require such childto attend school to receive the special educationand related services which areindicated on the child's IEP or to provide forsuch services privately.
(b) The provisions of subsection (a) do not apply to gifted children orto parents of gifted children.
