15.700 Unified and integrated prosecutor system established. It is hereby declared to be the policy of this Commonwealth to encourage cooperation <br>among law enforcement officers and to provide for the general supervision of criminal <br>justice by the Attorney General as chief law enforcement officer of the Commonwealth, <br>in order to maintain uniform and efficient enforcement of the criminal law and the <br>administration of criminal justice throughout the Commonwealth. To this end, a unified <br>and integrated prosecutor system is hereby established with the Attorney General as chief <br>prosecutor of the Commonwealth. Effective: January 1, 1978 <br>History: Created 1976 (1st Extra. Sess.) Ky. Acts ch. 17, sec. 1, effective January 1, 1978.
