62.150 Premiums on bonds of county officers in counties of two hundred thousand population. All elective or appointive county officers of any county containing a population of two <br>hundred thousand (200,000) or more who, upon assuming their respective offices, are <br>required under the law to execute a bond for the faithful discharge and performance of <br>their duties, and who shall have such bond executed by any incorporated surety company <br>authorized to do a surety business in the State of Kentucky, shall pay the premium on <br>such bond, and the amount paid for such premium shall be and become a valid claim <br>against the county, except where the law provides that it be paid by the state, and shall be <br>paid in the same manner as other claims are paid. In each case in which a claim is made <br>for the payment of premium on the bond executed as above set out, the officer executing <br>the bond as principal shall verify the claim by his affidavit.
