67.185 Motor vehicle and compensation insurance -- Purchase by county containing city of first or third class. The fiscal court, in each county, having therein a city of the first or third class, may, in its <br>discretion, for the protection of the public and its employees, appropriate county funds to <br>purchase policies of insurance, of all kinds, deemed advisable, covering motor vehicles <br>and other vehicles operated by the county, and compensation insurance covering <br>employees of the county receiving injuries arising out of and in the course of <br>employment; provided, the insurance carrier, by its policy of insurance, waives therein the <br>right to contest or deny liability, by denying the liability of the county because of its <br>governmental capacity and immunity on that account, and, provided, said policy of <br>insurance shall bind the company to pay any final judgment rendered against the county <br>for loss, or damage to property of any person or death or injury of any person.
