98.012 Claim against estate of recipient of general assistance -- Priority -- Filing. Upon the death of any person who has been paid general assistance by or through the <br>department of public welfare of a city of the first class, said city shall have a claim against <br>the estate of the deceased for all amounts of general assistance paid to him or on his <br>behalf. The claim shall have priority over all unsecured claims against such estate except <br>the burial expenses of the decedent, the cost of administration of his estate, the cost of his <br>last illness and claims by the Commonwealth of Kentucky for public assistance rendered <br>by it to the decedent. The claim shall be filed against the estate of the deceased person in <br>the same manner as other claims are filed against decedents' estates. Effective: June 19, 1952 <br>History: Created 1952 Ky.
