212.410 Organization of board -- Oath -- Officers -- Regulations -- Records -- Meetings -- Employees -- Divisions. The appointive members of the board, upon appointment as herein provided, shall qualify <br>by taking the necessary oath of office before the county judge/executive. Said board, <br>including the ex officio members who shall have the right to vote on matters acted upon <br>by the board, shall thereupon proceed to organize and elect from among its appointed <br>members a chairman and a vice chairman, who shall serve for one (1) year and be eligible <br>for reelection. A majority of the members of the board shall constitute a quorum for the <br>transaction of business. The board for administrative purposes is authorized to create such <br>administrative divisions as it deems necessary, and may adopt any and all necessary and <br>appropriate rules and regulations for the conduct of its business and for carrying out the <br>provisions of KRS 212.350 to 212.620, and shall keep a record of its resolutions, <br>transactions, findings and determinations, which record shall be a public record. The <br>board shall hold at least one (1) regular meeting in each month, and such other meetings <br>upon call of the chairman of the board as may be necessary. The board shall appoint a <br>director of health, with the qualifications specified and subject to the provisions set forth <br>in KRS 212.420, who shall serve as secretary to and be administrative officer for the <br>board, and perform such other duties as the board may direct. The board is authorized, <br>subject to the provisions of KRS 212.350 to 212.620, to employ such agents and <br>employees as it deems necessary effectively to carry out its work. The administrative <br>divisions created by the board shall be under the direction of the director of health, who <br>for administrative purposes shall organize same into such divisions as may be necessary <br>for the proper conduct of the business of the board. Said director shall have the power to <br>designate chiefs of such divisions who, under his supervision and control, shall have the <br>direction of such divisions. History: Created 1942 Ky.
