Section 13 Bonds and notes of authority as legal investments

Section 13. Bonds and notes issued under the provisions of this act are hereby made securities in which all public officers and public bodies of the commonwealth and its political subdivisions, all insurance companies, trust companies in their commercial departments and within the limits set by section forty of chapter one hundred seventy-two, savings banks, co-operative banks, banking associations, investment companies, executors, trustees and other fiduciaries, and all other persons whatsoever who are now or may hereafter be authorized to invest in bonds or other obligations of the commonwealth may properly and legally invest funds, including capital in their control or belonging to them. Such bonds and notes are hereby made securities which may properly legally be deposited with and received by any state or municipal officer or any agency or political subdivision of the commonwealth for any purposes for which the deposit of bonds or other obligations of the commonwealth now or may hereafter be authorized by law.
