552.1501d Income withholding order issued in another state; contesting validity or enforcement.

Sec. 501d.

An obligor may contest the validity or enforcement of an income withholding order issued in another state and received directly by an employer in this state in the same manner as if the order had been issued by this state's tribunal. Section 605 applies to the contest. The obligor shall give notice of the contest to a support enforcement agency providing services to the obligee, to each employer that has directly received an income withholding order, and to the person or agency designed to receive payments in the income withholding order or, if no person or agency is designated, to the obligee.
