§ 19-19-13. Liability for false return.
 

If any constable or other officer make a false return on any execution or other process issued by a justice of the peace, such officer shall forfeit and pay the sum of two hundred dollars, to be recovered against such officer and his sureties by motion before the justice by whom such process was issued, for the use of the party injured by said false return.
