Presiding officer may issue commission to take depositions.

21.390. When necessary, the presiding officer of the housein which they are required, or of a joint meeting, may issuecommissions to take such depositions as a court at law; and theproceedings, in taking and returning depositions, shall be thesame as are prescribed by law for taking depositions to be readin any court of law.
