Requests for bids on supplies and materials to be in general terms--to recite preference for Missouri products.

34.060. Except as provided in section 34.044, all requests for bidsand proposals for supplies to be purchased shall be made in general termsand by general specifications and not by brand, trade name or otherindividual mark, provided such article to be purchased can be definitelydescribed without the designation of such brand, trade name or otherindividual mark. All such requests and bids shall contain therein aparagraph in easily legible print, reading as follows: "By virtue ofstatutory authority, a preference will be given to materials, products,supplies, provisions and all other articles produced, manufactured, made orgrown within the state of Missouri."
