Lieutenant colonel and majors--appointment, qualifications.
43.040. The superintendent shall appoint from the membershipof the patrol one lieutenant colonel and five majors, who shallhave the same qualifications as the superintendent, and who maybe relieved of the rank of lieutenant colonel or major, as thecase may be, and the duties of the position by the superintendentat his pleasure.
