Condemnation authorized--bonds, how issued--cooperation authorized.

71.019. Any city, town, or village annexing a townsite underthe provisions of sections 71.016 to 71.019, through itslegislative body, may:

(1) Provide by ordinance for the acquisition of the propertyso annexed and platted, through the exercise of the right ofcondemnation in the manner provided by law, or by negotiatedpurchases or in any other lawful manner;

(2) Provide for the reimbursement of owners of such acquiredproperty through the issuance of bonds in the manner provided bylaw, and may hold any necessary bond election together with theelection provided in section 71.017, or through the encumbranceof such acquired property or in any other lawful manner;

(3) Provide for the administration of the annexed oracquired property, including the authority to zone and othersimilar and usual powers for regulating use and development ofrealty and in the case of acquired property the power to providefor and regulate the sale of lots and excess property and toenact such ordinances as will facilitate the orderly andequitable relocation of the city, town, or village;

(4) Act in concert with, cooperate with, or deal with, anyprivate person, agency, nonprofit corporation, governmental bodyor agency or other appropriate entity in the accomplishment ofsuch ends.
