Trustees may invest fund.

87.035. The said board of trustees shall have power to drawsuch pension fund from the treasury of such city, village orincorporated town, and may invest such fund, or any part thereof,in the name of the board of trustees of the firemen's pensionfund, in interest-bearing bonds of the United States, of thestate of Missouri, of any county, township or municipalcorporation of the state, or in judgments or tax bills againstthe city where such pension fund is established, or loan the sameon real estate in the city where such pension fund isestablished, not exceeding in amount in any case two-thirds ofthe assessed taxpaying valuation of such real estate; and allsuch securities shall be deposited with the treasurer of saidcity, village or incorporated town, as ex officio treasurer ofsaid board, and shall be subject to the order of said board.
