Deposit of collections--public mass transportation sales taxtrust fund--state to retain collection cost.

92.410. 1. All sales taxes collected by the director ofrevenue under the provisions of sections 92.400 to 92.421, lessone percent for the cost of collection which shall be depositedin the state's general revenue fund after payment of premiums forsurety bonds as provided in section 32.087, RSMo, shall bedeposited with the state treasurer in a special trust fund, whichis hereby created, to be known as the "Public Mass TransportationSales Tax Trust Fund". The moneys in this fund are not statefunds and shall not be commingled with any funds of the state.The director of revenue shall keep accurate records of the amountof money in the trust fund which was collected in each citywherein a sales tax is imposed pursuant to the provisions ofsections 92.400 to 92.421. The records shall be open to theinspection of the officers of the city and the public.

2. Except as modified in sections 92.400 to 92.421, allprovisions of sections 32.085 and 32.087, RSMo, shall apply tothe tax imposed under sections 92.400 to 92.421.
