Joint committee on tax policy to conduct study.
99.799. 1. The joint committee on tax policy shall conduct a studyof the feasibility of creating a program to allow municipalities within thestate to engage in tax increment finance-like projects with optional taxabatement in any area of such municipality regardless of the existence ofblight. The committee shall report its findings to the general assembly nolater than December 31, 2007.
2. The provisions of this section shall expire on January 1, 2008.
