Annual examination of official bonds.

107.140. As soon as practicable after the taking effect ofthis law, and at least once in each year thereafter, the officersand courts required by law to examine and approve any such bondsshall examine as to their sufficiency and as to the solvency ofthe sureties therein, and shall briefly note thereon, or on therecord thereof, the result of such examination; and if any suchbond be for any reason deemed insufficient, the principal thereinshall be required by a notice in writing to furnish a new andsufficient bond within thirty days; and if such bond be not sofurnished and approved, the office shall at the expiration ofsaid thirty days become vacant, and the vacancy shall be filledas provided by law.
