Deputization of employees in other state departments--bonds.

136.060. 1. Except as otherwise provided by law, thedirector of revenue may deputize any officer or employee of anydepartment, institution or agency of the state, subject to theapproval of the head of such department, institution or agency,to collect any tax, license or fee payable to the state which hasheretofore been collected by such department, institution oragency. Upon being so deputized, such officer or employee shallin the name of and on behalf of the director of revenue and undersuch rules and regulations as the state director of revenue mayprescribe collect any such tax, license or fee, provided that allmoneys so collected shall be transmitted promptly to the divisionof taxation and collection.

2. The director of revenue may require a surety bond fromany person so deputized in such amount and upon such conditionsas he may deem necessary, with sureties to be approved by him.The premium of said bond shall be paid out of the appropriationfor the department of revenue. The compensation of any officeror employee so deputized shall be paid by said department,institution or agency.
