Attorney general and prosecutors to provide assistance--collectionfee on recoveries by prosecutors, deposit--distribution.

136.150. The attorney general shall furnish legal advice tothe director of revenue. He shall commence legal proceedings andconduct legal actions for the collection of delinquent taxes,licenses and fees, referred to him for collection by the directorof revenue. The state director of revenue shall have the powerto call upon circuit attorneys or prosecuting attorneys forassistance in the collection of delinquent taxes, licenses andfees, and such taxes, licenses and fees collected in anyproceeding or action by the attorney general or by any circuit orprosecuting attorney shall be paid to and received by thedirector of revenue; except that, the state shall pay, from fundsappropriated by the general assembly for such purpose, acollection fee of twenty percent of the delinquent tax, license,or fee recovered by the circuit or prosecuting attorney. Thecollection fee shall be deposited in the county treasury, withone-half of such collection fee being designated for the use ofthe prosecuting or circuit attorney's office and one-half of suchcollection fee to be expended as the county shall determine.
