141.370. If during the pendency of any such suit theincumbent of the office of collector shall cease to hold suchoffice the county clerk shall act as substitute collector for allpurposes under sections 141.210 to 141.810 until such collector'ssuccessor has qualified, and such action shall proceed withoutrequiring the substitution of the county clerk or successorincumbent as a party.
