Transfer corporations (metropolitan schools), computation of stateaid.

162.1061. Other provisions of law to the contrary notwithstanding, atransfer corporation formed pursuant to section 162.1060 shall receive stateaid as calculated in this section:

(1) For purposes of determining weighted average daily attendancepursuant to section 163.011, RSMo, and for the purposes of determining stateaid pursuant to sections 163.031, 163.043, and 163.087, RSMo, and any othersource of state aid distributed on a per-pupil basis, students attending adistrict other than their district of residence pursuant to a court-approvedtransfer program shall be credited to, and all related per-pupil aid shall bepaid to, the transfer corporation instead of to any other district. Theweighted average daily attendance and state aid calculation for the transfercorporation shall be treated on the same basis as the calculation for aseparate school district; and

(2) For the eighth year of operation and thereafter, the transfercorporation shall receive transportation state aid for each student thatparticipates in the transfer program in the amount of one hundred fifty-fivepercent of the statewide average per-pupil cost for transportation for thesecond preceding school year provided that such aid shall not exceedseventy-five percent of necessary transportation costs.
