Urban school district may form ad hoc committee on dropoutprevention--members--selection.

162.553. There may be established for a period of not lessthan one year nor more than three years within each urban schooldistrict with a reported dropout rate in excess of fortypercent, an ad hoc committee of thirteen to twenty members ondropout prevention. The committee shall be composed of schoolpersonnel, parents, students and community members. Thecommittee members shall be selected by the superintendent andpresident of the school board with input from communityorganizations, the parent organizations of the district andstudent organizations of the district.
