Levy and collection of taxes in metropolitan districts.

164.071. The board of education in metropolitan districtsmay levy all taxes authorized by law to be levied for schoolpurposes in the city. The officers of the board and thecollector and assessor in the city, and all other officers of thecity and of the state concerned with the assessment andcollection of taxes and fines and penalties payable to the schoolfunds, shall perform the duties in relation to the levying andcollection of school taxes and the collection of the fines andpenalties, and the payment thereof to the board for schoolpurposes, that are imposed by law upon the officers.
