Physiology texts to contain chapter on dental hygiene--penalty.
170.031. One or more chapters on dental hygiene is requiredin all textbooks on physiology used in the public schools of thestate of Missouri. The chapters shall convey the properknowledge to the pupil on the care, function and relation of theteeth to the general health. Such chapters in the textbooksshall be edited or approved by a competent committee composed offive members, three of whom are selected by the state dentalsociety, one by the director of the department of socialservices, and one by the state board of education, and they shallserve without compensation. The sale or offer for sale of anytextbook which does not contain the chapter on dental hygienerequired by this section is a misdemeanor.
