Causes for removal of president or teacher--notice and hearing--rightof appeal.

174.150. 1. No president, professor or teacher shall beremoved except for incompetency, neglect or refusal to performhis duties, dishonesty, drunkenness or immoral conduct; nor shallsuch president, professor or teacher be removed until after tendays' notice, in writing, stating the nature and cause ofremoval; and he shall have an opportunity to make a defensebefore the board by counsel or otherwise; and be allowed tointroduce testimony which shall be heard and determined by theboard.

2. In every case of suspension or expulsion by the facultythe person suspended or expelled shall be allowed an appeal tothe board from the decision of the faculty, and the board shallprescribe the manner and mode of proceeding in the matter of suchappeal; but the decision of the board upon such appeal shall befinal.
