Records to be retained for twenty-five years after December 31, 1991.

184.119. 1. On or after December 31, 1991, a museum shall, at aminimum, maintain and retain the following records, either originals oraccurate copies, for a period of not less than twenty-five years:

(1) A notice of intent to preserve an interest in property providedpursuant to section 184.114;

(2) The loan agreement, if any, and a receipt or ledger for property onloan to the museum;

(3) A receipt or ledger for property delivered by the museum to lenderor claimant;

(4) Records containing the following information, as available, forproperty in the custody of the museum:

(a) The lender's name, address, and telephone number;

(b) The claimant's name, address, and telephone number;

(c) The donor's name, address, and telephone number;

(d) The seller's name, address, and telephone number;

(e) The nature and terms of the transaction;

(f) The beginning date of the loan period, the transaction date, or thedate of acquisition of the property.

2. The director may by rule determine the minimum form and substance ofrecord keeping by museums with regard to museum property to implement sections184.101 to 184.122.
