Subdistrict's powers--duties.

184.360. 1. Each respective subdistrict is hereby empowered to own,hold, control, lease, acquire by donation, gift or bequest, purchase,contract, lease, sell, any and all rights in land, buildings, improvements,furnishings, displays, exhibits and programs and any and all other real,personal or mixed property, or to contract with other persons to providefor any and all services for the purposes of the subdistrict.

2. All buildings, property and facilities of existing publicly ownedand operated zoological parks and museums established pursuant to theconstitution or laws of this state or museum of science and natural historyupon which a majority of the voters of both the city and county have passedupon as provided for in section 184.350 shall become the property of andvest in the respective and applicable subdistrict on the date suchsubdistrict shall be established as provided in section 184.350. Anyobligations, duties, rights, privileges of whatever description pertainingto or relating to the maintenance, operation, construction, design, oraffairs of any such existing zoological park or museum shall be assumed bythe respective subdistricts.

3. Upon the creation of a botanical subdistrict as provided for insection 184.353, all buildings, property, and facilities which are whollypublicly owned and which are then in the care and custody of the botanicalsubdistrict or of any person providing botanical services to the botanicalsubdistrict by contract shall become the property of and vest in thebotanical subdistrict on the date such subdistrict shall be established asprovided in section 184.353. Any obligations, duties, rights, privilegesof whatever description pertaining to or relating to the maintenance,operation, construction, design, or affairs of such buildings, property,and facilities shall be assumed by the botanical subdistrict.

4. Upon the creation of a transport museum subdistrict as providedfor in section 184.353, all buildings, property, and facilities which arewholly publicly owned and which are then in the care and custody of thetransport museum subdistrict, or of any person providing services to thetransport museum subdistrict by contract, shall become the property of andvest in the transport museum subdistrict on the date such subdistrict shallbe established as provided in section 184.353. Any obligations, duties,rights, privileges of whatever description pertaining to or relating to themaintenance, operation, construction, design, or affairs of such buildings,property, and facilities shall be assumed by the transport museumsubdistrict.

5. Upon the creation of a Missouri history museum subdistrict asprovided for in section 184.353, all buildings, property, and facilitieswhich are wholly publicly owned and which are then in the care and custodyof the Missouri history museum subdistrict or of any person providingMissouri history services to the Missouri history museum subdistrict bycontract shall become the property of and vest in the Missouri historymuseum subdistrict on the date such subdistrict shall be established asprovided in section 184.353. Any obligations, duties, rights, privilegesof whatever description pertaining to or relating to the maintenance,operation, construction, design, or affairs of such buildings, property,and facilities shall be assumed by the Missouri history museum subdistrict.

6. Upon the creation of a symphony orchestra subdistrict as providedfor in section 184.353, all buildings, property, and facilities which arewholly publicly owned and which are then in the care and custody of thesymphony orchestra subdistrict by contract, shall become the property ofand vest in the symphony orchestra subdistrict on the date such subdistrictshall be established as provided in section 184.353. Any obligations,duties, rights, privileges of whatever description pertaining to orrelating to the maintenance, operation, construction, design, or affairs ofsuch buildings, property, and facilities shall be assumed by the symphonyorchestra subdistrict.
