Department of health and senior services to administer crippledchildren's service--duties.

201.050. 1. The department of health and senior services is designatedas the administrator of the crippled children's service.

2. The administrator:

(1) Shall formulate and administer a detailed plan or plans for thepurpose of administering the service and to make and enforce such rules andregulations as are necessary or desirable for the administration of theseplans and the provisions of this chapter;

(2) Shall receive and expend, in accordance with such plans, all fundsmade available to the service by the federal government, by the state or itspolitical subdivisions, or from any other sources for such purposes, and itshall cooperate with the federal government in developing, improving, andextending the services and in the administration of the plans;

(3) Shall cooperate with other state departments and agencies of thisstate and with medical, health, nursing, and welfare groups and organizations,private or public, and endeavor to coordinate the efforts of all persons andagencies interested in the discovery, care, and rehabilitation of crippledchildren, and it is entitled to receive aid and assistance from otherdepartments and agencies of this state in carrying out the plans adopted bythe administrator;

(4) Shall receive title to property, real or personal, in all cases ofgifts, devises, or bequests to the service and may act as trustee and as suchreceive title to property, real or personal, where given in trust for thebenefit of the service.
