Delinquent fees or charges by sewer district to bear interestfrom due date--lien on land, when--procedure.

204.455. 1. Any user charges, connection fees, or othercharges levied by the sewer district shall be due at such timeor times as specified by the board of trustees, and shall, if notpaid by the due date, become delinquent and shall bear interestfrom the date of delinquency until paid. If such charges becomedelinquent they shall be a lien upon the land charged, upon theboard of trustees filing with the recorder of deeds in the countywhere the land is situated a notice of delinquency. The board oftrustees shall file with the recorder of deeds a similar noticewhen the delinquent amounts, plus interest and any recording feesor attorneys' fees, have been paid in full. The lien herebycreated may be enforced by suit or foreclosure.

2. For purposes of this section, the term "board oftrustees" shall include, but is not limited to, the board oftrustees established in subsection 2 of section 204.300.
