Special attention of county superintendent to whom(third and fourth class counties).

205.890. The county superintendent of public welfare in eachcounty shall, upon the request of the department of mentalhealth, and in accordance with its direction, give special careand attention to the needs of any patient recently dischargedfrom the state hospital for the insane who resides in his county,either on parole or permanent discharge, to the end that suchpatients may be established in such favorable circumstances asshall tend to prevent their relapse into insanity, and shallreport on the progress of such former patients to the departmentof mental health, and under its direction, to the institutionfrom which they have been paroled or discharged.
