Rules and regulations, authority to promulgate, duties of commission.

209.295. The commission may promulgate rules andregulations pertaining to, but not limited to:

(1) The form and content of certification applications andthe procedures for filing an application for an initialcertification and renewal certification in this state;

(2) Fees required for the operation of the certificationsystem, including, but not limited to, application fees,evaluation fees, renewal fees, conversion fees or any other feesrelating to the certification;

(3) The certifications recognized as qualifying credentialsfor initial or conversion certification;

(4) Establishment of policy and procedure for conversionwith other states' certification systems;

(5) Guidelines for the use of interpreters according totheir level of certification;

(6) Maintenance and upkeep of skills, also known ascontinuing education or professional development training;

(7) Minimum educational, training, experience and anynecessary and appropriate certifications for interpretertrainers, as well as any necessary continuing education andtraining requirements for interpreter trainers;

(8) Any other necessary and proper rules, decision orpolicy in regard to evaluation, certification and maintaining acertification according to the procedures set forth in chapter536, RSMo.
