Jurisdiction as to custody of child not exclusive.

211.051. Nothing contained in this chapter deprives othercourts of the right to determine the legal custody of childrenupon writs of habeas corpus or to determine the legal custody orguardianship of children when the legal custody or guardianshipis incidental to the determination of causes pending in othercourts. Such questions, however, may be certified by anothercourt to the juvenile court for hearing, determination orrecommendation.

(1974) Where juvenile court assumed jurisdiction over child and made award of custody such jurisdiction excludes any other court of concurrent jurisdiction from adjudicating custody in a habeas corpus proceeding. State ex rel. McCarty v. Kimberlin (A.), 508 S.W.2d 196.
