Classification teams, established--appointment, qualifications,duties.

217.335. 1. There shall be established at each correctionalfacility classification teams to be composed of the offender,along with a minimum of three members and a maximum of fivemembers appointed as per policy.

2. It shall be the responsibility of the classification teamto:

(1) Receive the report and recommendation of the receptionand diagnostic center;

(2) Make recommendations to the chief administrative officerconcerning custodial care, work assignments, educational orvocational training and other treatment procedures for theoffender;

(3) Make a continuing study of each offender concerning hisbehavior, capacities, adjustment and rehabilitation to determinehis progress.

3. Offenders shall be assigned according to security andprogram needs as determined by a department-wide assessmentsystem.
