Autopsy required, when--reports to be maintained by department.
217.412. It shall be the duty of the department of corrections toensure that an autopsy is performed upon all offenders within the custodyof the department who die under violent or suspicious circumstances orapparent suicide to ascertain as nearly as possible the cause of death.The department shall maintain a record of the findings and conclusions ofeach such autopsy.
