Work or educational release program.
217.435. 1. The director may establish, at thosecorrectional facilities he so designates, a program of work andeducational release for those offenders who meet the standardsestablished by department rules and regulations.
2. Each offender on work release shall pay a percentage ofhis wages, established by department rules, to a maximum of theper capita cost of offender support per month, to the departmentas maintenance. The money received from the inmate shall bedeposited in the inmate fund and shall be expended pursuant tosection 217.430.
3. All offenders in college educational release programsshall be responsible for their own school expenses.
