Jailer to receive and keep United States prisoners.
221.270. It shall be the duty of the keeper of the jail inevery county within this state to receive into his custody anyprisoner or prisoners who may be from time to time committed tohis charge, under authority of the United States, and to safelykeep every such prisoner or prisoners, according to the warrantor receipt of such commitment, until he or they shall bedischarged by due course of law of the United States.
