Approval of rate at election--certification.

247.480. If it shall appear to the board from the returnsthat a majority of the voters voting thereon shall have voted infavor of such question, the board shall, on or before the firstday of May and each year thereafter, certify to the countycommission as provided in section 247.470 a rate of levy forgeneral purposes of the district, which shall not be in excess ofthe rate so approved by the voters of the district as hereinprovided. If it shall appear to the board from the results thata majority of the voters voting thereon shall not have voted infavor of such question, then the board shall certify to thecounty commission at such time a rate not in excess of thatpreviously approved by a vote of the majority of the voters ofthe district voting thereon, or not exceeding fifteen cents onone hundred dollars valuation, whichever is higher.
