Powers and duties of board.

260.607. The corporation is hereby granted all powersnecessary or appropriate to carry out and effectuate itspurposes under sections 260.600 to 260.607, including but notlimited to the following:

(1) To adopt bylaws and rules for the regulation of itsaffairs and the conduct of its business;

(2) To adopt an official seal;

(3) To sue and be sued;

(4) To make and execute leases, contracts, releases,compromises and other instruments necessary or convenient tocarry out its purposes;

(5) To acquire, whether by purchase, exchange or gift, realproperties located within any area designated for cleanup underthis act*;

(6) To convey real properties whenever the board ofdirectors finds that it has acquired all rights, title andinterests in all properties within the area designated forcleanup;

(7) To employ and pay compensation to such employees andagents, including attorneys, and others, as the board ofdirectors shall deem necessary to further the purposes ofsections 260.600 to 260.607.
