Definitions.

280.010. As used in this chapter the following terms mean:

(1) "Brand", an identification mark assigned to a treatedtimber producer, used to mark treated timber products aftertreatment;

(2) "Director", the director of the state department ofagriculture;

(3) "Preservative" includes such chemicals or combinationthereof that will protect wood or wood products againstdeterioration or destruction from any one or combination of thefollowing: insects, fungi, bacteria, or other wood-destroyingorganisms;

(4) "Retention of preservatives", the amount of preservativein pounds per cubic foot or metric equivalent retained in woodafter preservative treatment;

(5) "Stop-sale", an administrative order provided by law,restraining the sale, disposition, and movement of a definiteamount of treated timber, of a specific piece, bundle, charge orshipment if the treated timber is distinguished by piece, bundle,charge or shipment;

(6) "Treated timber", wood or wood products treated by theimpregnation or application of chemical solutions or chemicalmixtures for the purpose of retarding or preventing deteriorationor destruction by insects, fungi, bacteria, or otherwood-destroying organisms;

(7) "Treated timber dealer", any retail or wholesale placeof business other than treated timber producers that sells oroffers for sale treated timber products;

(8) "Treated timber producer", any person, firm orcorporation who engages in the business of treating timberproducts with preservatives.
