Daily examination of coal mines generating explosive gas, record.

293.220. All coal mines generating explosive gas in whichmen are employed shall be examined every morning by a practicaland duly authorized agent of the proprietor, to determine whetherthere are any dangerous accumulations of gas, or lack of properventilation, or obstructions to roadways, or any other dangerousconditions and no person shall be allowed to enter the mine untilthe examiner shall have reported all of the conditions safe forbeginning work. Such examiner shall make a daily record of thecondition of the mine, in a book kept for that purpose, whichshall be open at all times to the examination of the director ofthe division of mine inspection.
