Child labor enforcement fund.
294.131. 1. There is hereby created in the state treasury a fund tobe known as the "Child Labor Enforcement Fund". All moneys awarded by anycourt for civil damages for violations of this chapter and all moneyscollected in settlements from persons who violate the provisions of thischapter shall be transmitted to the department of revenue for deposit inthe child labor enforcement fund. Subject to appropriations, the money inthis fund shall be used by the division of labor standards forinvestigations and enforcement of the provisions of this chapter.
2. Notwithstanding the provisions of section 33.080, RSMo, to thecontrary, money in this fund shall not be transferred and placed to thecredit of general revenue until the amount in the fund at the end of thebiennium exceeds two times the amount of the appropriations from the fundfor the preceding fiscal year. The amount, if any, in the fund which shalllapse is that amount in the fund which exceeds the appropriate multiple ofthe appropriations from the fund for the preceding fiscal years.
