300.275. Except when directed to proceed by a police officeror traffic control signal, every driver of a vehicle approachinga stop intersection indicated by a stop sign shall stop asrequired by subsection 2 of section 300.270, and after havingstopped shall yield the right-of-way to any vehicle which hasentered the intersection from another highway or which isapproaching so closely on said highway as to constitute animmediate hazard during the time when such driver is movingacross or within the intersection.
