306.217. 1. Persons engaged in the aquatic sports known asskin or scuba diving shall mark their general location within orunder the water with a red flag with a diagonal white bar to bedisplayed on the water or from a boat or raft in the vicinity ofthe diver's location. All diving shall be within a fifty-yardradius of said flag. No warning flag shall be placed as toimpede the normal flow of motorboat traffic.
2. No boat operator shall knowingly operate within fiftyyards of such flag.
3. The Missouri state water patrol shall prescribe anddefine the size and method of locating the warning flag mentionedin subsection 1 of this section.
4. Any person who violates subsection 1 or 2 of this sectionis guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall bepunished as provided by law.
