Registration of outboard motors.
306.530. 1. The owner of an outboard motor kept within this stateshall cause it to be registered in the office of the director of revenuewho shall issue a certificate of title for the same.
2. The owner of any outboard motor acquired or brought into the stateshall file his application for registration and pay the fee within sixtydays after it is acquired or brought into this state. The director ofrevenue may grant extensions of time for registration to any person indeserving cases.
3. Any make of outboard motor older than 1960 which is owned solelyas a collector's item and which is used and intended to be used forexhibition and educational purposes only and will not be used on thewaterways of this state will be exempt from titling and registrationpursuant to this chapter.
