320.245. 1. The state fire marshal or supervisinginvestigator may subpoena witnesses, administer oaths, requirethe production of books, papers, accounts, documents, and otherrecords or material of any evidentiary nature, and may examinewitnesses in any investigation or proceeding authorized undersections 320.200 to 320.270. However, any hearing concerning afire loss shall be conducted only in the county in which itoccurred.

2. The same fees shall be paid for the service of processand the taking of depositions as is provided for like services incircuit court.
