Emergency ambulance service outside district--fee for services for alldistricts--emergency defined.
321.226. 1. Any fire protection district which isauthorized to provide emergency ambulance service within itsdistrict may provide such emergency ambulance service outside itsdistrict. When providing emergency ambulance service for aperson who does or does not reside within the district, a fireprotection district may assess and collect from such person ausual and customary fee for such service.
2. As used in this section "emergency" means a situationresulting from a sudden or unforeseen situation or occurrencethat requires immediate action to save life or prevent sufferingor disability.
