Board duties, meetings, compensation--rules, procedure.

324.065. 1. The board shall elect annually a chairperson and a vicechairperson from their number.

2. (1) The board shall adopt, implement, rescind, amend andadminister such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out theprovisions of sections 324.050 to 324.089. The board may promulgatenecessary rules compatible with sections 324.050 to 324.089, including, butnot limited to, rules relating to professional conduct, continuingcompetency requirements for renewal of licenses, approval of continuingcompetency programs and to the establishment of ethical standards ofpractice for persons holding a license or permit to practice occupationaltherapy in this state.

(2) The board shall establish all applicable fees and set an amountwhich shall not substantially exceed the cost of administering sections324.050 to 324.089.

(3) The board shall approve or disapprove certifying entities for theprofession of occupational therapy included in the scope of sections324.050 to 324.089.

(4) The board may terminate recognition of any certifying entityincluded in the scope of sections 324.050 to 324.089 following a subsequentreview of the certification of registration procedures of a certifyingentity.

3. The board shall convene at the request of the director or as theboard shall determine. The board shall hold regular meetings at least fourtimes per year.

4. Each member of the board shall receive as compensation, an amountset by the division not to exceed fifty dollars per day, for each daydevoted to the affairs of the board and may be reimbursed for actual andnecessary expenses incurred in the performance of the member's officialduties.

5. No rule or portion of a rule promulgated pursuant to the authorityof sections 324.050 to 324.089 shall become effective unless it has beenpromulgated pursuant to the provisions of section 536.024, RSMo.
