Licensing of apprentices and students, fee, qualifications,application.

329.070. 1. Apprentices or students shall be licensed with the boardand shall pay a student fee or an apprentice fee prior to beginning theircourse, and shall be of good moral character and have an educationequivalent to the successful completion of the tenth grade.

2. An apprentice or student shall not be enrolled in a course ofstudy that shall exceed twelve hours per day or that is less than threehours per day. The course of study shall be no more than seventy-two hoursper week and no less than fifteen hours per week.

3. Every person desiring to act as an apprentice in any of theclassified occupations within this chapter shall file with the board awritten application on a form supplied to the applicant, together with therequired apprentice fee.
