Education surcharge, amount, deposit in nursing student loan andnurse loan repayment fund.
335.221. The board, in addition to any other duties it may haveregarding licensure of nurses, shall collect, at the time of licensure orlicensure renewal, an education surcharge from each person licensed orrelicensed pursuant to sections 335.011 to 335.096, in the amount of onedollar per year for practical nurses and five dollars per year forprofessional nurses. These funds shall be deposited in the professionaland practical nursing student loan and nurse loan repayment fund. Allexpenditures authorized by sections 335.212 to 335.259* shall be paid fromfunds appropriated by the general assembly from the professional andpractical nursing student loan and nurse loan repayment fund. Theprovisions of section 33.080, RSMo, to the contrary notwithstanding, moneyin this fund shall not be transferred and placed to the credit of generalrevenue.
