Director to prepare report--publication--special reports.

374.180. 1. The director of the department of insurance, financialinstitutions and professional registration shall prepare the followinginformation to be included in the biennial report to the general assembly:

(1) A brief review of the department during the period covered by thereport, including a verified statement of the various sums received anddisbursed by him, and from and to whom, and for what purposes;

(2) Name, address, capital stock, in case of companies having acapital stock, resources, insurance in force, and the amount and nature ofcollateral deposited by each insurance company or association authorized orlicensed to do business in this state;

(3) A tabular statement, and synopsis of the annual statements, asaccepted by the director, of all insurance companies doing business in thisstate;

(4) Such other matters as in his opinion may be for the benefit ofthe public and such recommendations as he shall deem proper in regard tothe insurance laws of this state.

2. No more than two thousand copies of such report shall be publishedby order of the director, at the expense of the department.

3. The director shall make such additional reports as shall berequired by the governor.
